How to use cotton balls:
1. Sterilisation. Take skin sterilisation as an example. Take the sterilisation position as the core, rotate the sterilisation position according to the position, the diameter is more than 5cm. cotton ball is only used once and cannot be recycled in order to prevent blood contamination.
2. Pressure on the wound. Apply parallel pressure and squeeze to stop bleeding. Take intradermal injection (vaccination) and subcutaneous injection (buttock injection) for example, the cotton ball can be pressed parallel to the wound.
2. Vertical pressure. In the case of intravenous injections (blood tests mainly), for example, the general injection technique of the caregiver is to puncture the subcutaneous tissue from above or to the side of the vein, and to puncture the vein along the vein towards the back. Thus, after extracting such a wound, although it is only one wound on the surface of the skin, you actually have two wounds. If the compression technique is wrong, the skin around the needle opening will be black and green in colour. In fact, this is caused by the accumulation of blood from the wound in your skin. Do not worry about this condition. Pooled blood usually dissipates gradually within a week.
